About the event
Format:
2 short course races, designed to be easily completed in under an hour each.
Each race will have slightly different rules, which will be provided at the skippers meeting.
Boats will be handicapped, mostly according to your PHRF rating (You don't need to know it - the race committee will work it out), but 'experienced' racers will have a bit more lead on their saddles.
For the first race we will have a handicap start: your designated start time will be based on your boat’s rating with the slower boats starting earlier. Then everyone should finish at exactly the same time. It’s amazing how it always works out perfectly, with dozens of boats converging on the finish line together. It’s true! Honest!
The second race will start 10 minutes later - or in the unusual event there is a straggler, 10 minutes after that last boat finishes.
